Memo of Understanding

This MOU is a required part of our denomination’s process when a minister takes on a pastoral role outside of The Wesleyan Church. It helps make sure everyone involved understands the expectations and responsibilities that come with this kind of appointment. This also helps keep a healthy connection between the minister and the district. By completing this form you are confirming that you understand and agree to the guidelines and responsibilities outlined here. This agreement will be reviewed and renewed each year for as long as the appointment continues.

Minister

The following statements outline expectations for ministers serving in Special Service, Interchurch Service, and Chaplaincy roles. Please review each item and respond to indicate your understanding and agreement with these guidelines.
Conduct myself in accordance with The Wesleyan Church doctrine and The Discipline(Required)
Initiate a meeting or phone call with the District Superintendent at least once annually(Required)
Complete and submit an Annual Service Report (ASR)(Required)
Attend and participate in District Conference as required by the Discipline(Required)
Attend at least one other gathering of district ministers annually (Ordination, LDJ, Refresh Camp, Pastors Retreat)(Required)

District

The District agrees to continue to provide support to the Minister, follow up with Annual Service Reports, and list the minister's appointment as Ordained Minister in Special Service, Interchurch Service, or Chaplain.
